Kisi is one of Georgia’s most exciting rediscovered native grape varieties and has gained remarkable popularity over the last decade. Today, it is cultivated across Kakheti, although it is most closely associated with the villages of Akhmeta.

Our wine is made from Akhmeturi Kisi, from grapes harvested in the village of Ozhio. Crafted in the traditional Kakhetian amber style, this Qvevri wine has a beautiful golden-amber colour. On the nose, it first reveals gentle sweet aromas, followed by notes of tropical fruit, dried banana, apricot, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is soft, well-structured, and balanced, with light tannins, pleasant acidity, and a smooth, lingering finish. Our 2022 vintage Kisi has recently awarded a Silver Medal (91 Pts.) at IWSC 2024.

Food pairing:
Kisi pairs beautifully with Eastern Georgian cuisine, especially meat-based dishes such as khashlama, chakapuli, and hearty stews. It is also excellent with fried chicken, satsivi, and walnut-seasoned dishes. For Asian cuisine, it works well with roasted duck, mild curries, Thai-style chicken, Korean grilled pork, soy-glazed dishes, and lightly spiced fermented flavours. In European cuisine, it pairs naturally with roast poultry, pork, mushroom dishes, creamy cheeses, vegetable gratins, and rustic Mediterranean dishes.
